I was given this battery as a birthday gift a couple of months ago. Unfortainatly I did not try to use it until today, because I never needed it before. When I pulled it out to try charging it, I found that the battery will not charge for more than a couple seconds on the canon charger that came with my XS. Nothing lists the need for a seperate charger, and if a different charger was needed, that would only up the cost of the battery!
Customer Review: Good Battery
I ordered this battery with reservations because other users said it was difficult taking the battery out of the camera. It fits just as well as the battery that came with the battery. I usually charge my batteries before a shoot so I can only say that after 300 pictures the battery indicator displays full power. With the savings over Canon's battery this is a very good choice. You will be happy you bought it.
